"The room was tatty and lots of paint missing on windows in main room and doors in bathroom. The shower head was thick with black grime/mould and even though staying for 3 nights and the sign being outside the door on time each day, our room wasn’t cleaned once. Cleaners came in first day and changed the towels but that was it. I then had to ask for towels each day after. There weren’t enough towels for two people to start off with. Workmen starting at 8am a few doors down, why, when people are asleep and paying for the privilege?? Parking charges were messed up by reception staff after checking twice over! The pub/grill on site was brilliant though. Wouldn’t be excited to stay there again!"

"For a budget hotel as it states then yes all good, the only thing I would class as a negative is the additional parking charge that is then charged at check in, which then they only accept card payments no cash on site "

"Our room had been refurbished and was really excellent. The lift and passages are a bit worn. The staff were friendly and very professional. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"Expedia listing did not say the room I booked was basically a basement prison cell without the benefit of a window. Horrible. No one answers the phone at this property. When you call the number on Google you get charged, even if you hang up the moment you hear the voice saying you’ll be charged. Car Park blocked by bad parker , despite telling the front desk, car did not move so I had to park off site. Never stay at any hotel managed by this chain for the sketchy phone system alone. I have >£2 of charges which isn’t a lot of money in the big picture, but not something hotel guests should ever have to pay, especially when I hung up right away It was the local number I found that no one ever picked up. Bad."

"very tired hotel - they are currently doing works in the lobby which looks to be a lick of paint and tiling. the rooms are really tired though, with no temperature control and no ability to open windows - cue awful night's sleep due to the room being very stuffy. can tell it was once a lovely hotel with good amenities when it was built, but everything is very shabby now and the new Radisson around the corner shows it up"
