Top Castleton Hotel Reviews

Old Hall Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Staff at breakfast needed to be a lot more helpful and cleaner. Breakfast was cold and dried up bacon like leather. Overall all staff needed sorting ie learn how to wellcome visitors. Bar was not stocked and unable to purchase draughty beer. Would not advise others to stay."

Mercure Sheffield St Paul's Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel in a good central location"

Radisson Blu Hotel, Sheffield
8/10 Good
"Modern and clean hotel - bedroom well appointed and spacious. Bed very comfortable. Great location for the town centre and the Crucible! Breakfast felt a bit scrappy - lot of tables were left with dirty plates etc and a few items seemed to have run out and not been replaced. We visited the bar twice for a nightcap and it was a nice relaxed place for a late drink. Only issue we had was the strength of the scented air in the bedrooms - it was so strong. If you are sensitive to scent then this wouldn't be ideal and I'm not sure why it's necessary!"

Buxton Crescent
6/10 Okay
"All in all good but pool temperature quite low and you could do with replacing some of the fixtures in the pool as you can see lots of rust and debris buildup as well as on some tiles in the pool .
Some staff VERY attendant but many NOT
The only “IMPROVEMENT” since take over from Champney’s is only the new bath robe and Elemis products.
For price you pay it’s OK for 1 night BUT it’s in need of improvement desperately "

Hampton By Hilton Sheffield
10/10 Excellent
"Large, clean rooms which were quiet. The hotel is in a good location and near plenty shops and eateries. The breakfast selection was varied and the food hot."

The Tytherington
10/10 Excellent
"From check in to check out.I had a lovely stay. The hotel is really nice.I had an amazing sleep while there. The beds are very comfy. The breakfast on offer was really good, with cooked available. It was nice having a proper coffee maker at breakfast, so able to choose what you like.I would definitely stay again if in the area"

ibis budget Sheffield Arena
8/10 Good
"Very small room but was clean. For the price it was ok. You have to pay to park which I don’t like, but there was a few on road parking spaces for free. "

Palace Hotel & Spa Buxton
8/10 Good
"Lovely breakfast comfortable bed but room easily gets hot when the sun shines in .Needs air con in all rooms .We stayed in the past & it was hot then"

Waterside Hotel & Leisure Club
6/10 Okay
"if you like fitness or a good swim and spa yes
if you also want a room to relax in no, this is very far from what a 'delux' room should be, it is extremely small with views onto the opposite corridor and a very questionable kingsize bed.
if it was half the price you wouldn't mind the tiny room but this is not a room to relax in and you do kinda feel a bit cheated.
I regularly stay in spa hotels in central london for what we paid here and the rooms are twice the size with full king beds and views...
everything else is done very well the room just lets it down, if you get a good deal then yes snap it up, the staff are lovely and it is a full on leisure centre"
