"Ken and Alejandra have built a mountain paradise. The accommodations are first rate and their grounds are amazing. The breakfasts are excellent with fresh grown and made foods. It is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. They are in the mountains north of San Jose. We had a rental car and no problems moving around. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Finca Paraiso!"

"This was a real gem to find and provided an enjoyable place to stay on an unplanned trip to San Jose. Only 4 blocks to the US Embassy/Consulate which was the purpose of our trip. The host was absolutely wonderful and the owner provided excellent advice regarding navigating the area and issues we had to deal with (covid testing, local transportation, etc). Although we had not planned on going to San Jose during this trip (or needing an emergency replacement passport either) this place provided...

"Tía welcomed us with a big smile and juice. Our room was super clean, as was the shared bathroom. We saw her work from sunrise to sunset. Great breakfast and excellent coffee. She was the highlight of our stay because she was so amazing. We had to leave super early in the morning and she brought us bananas, cookies, and juice for the road. Please give her a raise and bonus because she is the kindest, hardworking soul. We plan to return because of her! She made our stay feel like home. "

"This is a perfect property for travelers needing access to the San Jose Airport and many car rental companies. The property is gated, with street parking in front of the facility. The open kitchen allows guest access to use of fridge, microwave, coffee and water and eating area. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable with spacious bathrooms. No AC but ceiling fan in room. Note that this is a CASH only facility which caught me by surprise. The host was also gracious to allow us to drop luggage...

"Clara and Gae from Young Bed & Breakfast are excellent hosts. My native language is English, so at times we struggled to understand each other, but it doesn’t take away from the excellent hospitality experience. They were happy to cook for me all days of the week, and often spent time with me outside on the patio sharing stories about life. Gae went even as far as waking up early in the morning and going on a 4 mile run with me in a park nearby, considering we both like to run. If that doesn’t...

"The property was spacious, pretty and very secure. Good Food easily available. "

"We chose this hotel because of its short distance to the hotel and the good reviews. Overall, we liked the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. What we did not like is the fact they charge a substantial fee for late arrival (we arrived around 11pm). We also felt pressured when we inquired about renting a car with them, and decided not to since they could not send a contract."
