Beautiful hotel, very modern, very clean. Comfy beds, beautiful pool. Breakfast very nice selection of hot and cold food. Staff and service exceptional. Price reasonable. Only downside is expensive drinks from poolside bar.

We stayed here at the end of our Sicilian trip and used it as a base for both the north and south approach to Etna. It was just the bit of luxury we needed. 10 out of 10 experience, my only advice is for the hotel to start modernise the interior before it gets to the point were people feel it is an outdated hotel. I would retouch the rooms with some plaster and withe paint, and change the carpets that look have been layed 40 years ago. Stayed here for 4 nights with friends. Drove past the entrance on arrival and had to take a detour to get back to it but once we arrived what a lovely surprise. The hotel staff are lovely. Our rooms both had French doors that led out onto the garden which was a nice place to gather and have a drink in the evening. There are absolutely no negatives about this hotel. It is family run, everyone was so friendly, the service was exceptional and it was very clean both inside the hotel and outside around the swimming pool. We loved our stay at Donna Carmela, beautiful boutique hotel, no expense has been spared in making it as nice as possible. Staff were charming, and the off season prices were very reasonable. That part of Sicily is very built up but the hotel is an oasis of peace.

This is one of the most stylish and unusual hotels in which I have ever had the pleasure of staying. I believe the building was constructed around 1900 but only became a hotel around 15 years ago. We stayed here for two nights and it was great. It was just 10-15 minutes walk to the main squares and shopping areas. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definately stay here again.

Great rooms clean and modern, Alina is great, location perfect for restaurants, bars and site seeing. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Catania.
