Breakfast was very good, much better than other Champneys hotels we have stayed at. Room was nice but the TV unfortunately kept cutting out. Really friendly and helpful staff, and a luxury feel.

A great find and ideal for an airport stay. Great bar area, restaurant is also good and staff were great. Parking a bit pricey but similar to others at the airport.

The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

Super convenient as part of the airport/train station complex, able to wheel the airport trolley (costs £1) from collecting our bags from our flight to actually inside the hotel room (as advised by reception staff as a possibility) & then the following morning to the side of the train.

The best area to stay in Buxworth is the village centre, particularly around the Buxworth Basin.
This area is the heart of the village, known for its picturesque canal basin where the Peak Forest Canal meets the navigable River Goyt. It's a lovely spot for walks along the towpaths and offers a few traditional pubs serving local fare. The Buxworth Basin is a registered historic site, giving the area a distinctive, appealing character.
Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find the village centre ideal. The focus here is on enjoying the natural beauty and the relaxed pace of village life. You can spend your days exploring the canal paths, enjoying meals at local pubs, and simply unwinding in a calm setting.
For keen walkers and those who appreciate being close to nature, staying near the edges of the village, closer to the trails leading into the Peak District National Park, is a good option.
When is the best time to go to Buxworth?
The best time to go to Buxworth is during late spring and summer, particularly from May to September.

Attractions like Kinder Scout and Mam Tor are much more enjoyable when the weather is good.
For couples looking for a romantic getaway, these months allow for picturesque walks along the River Goyt or leisurely picnics with stunning views. Many local pubs and cafes also have outdoor seating, superb for enjoying the sunshine together.
Families will find the summer months particularly convenient for school holidays, with plenty of opportunities for children to explore the countryside.
