"This is a fantastic property only a short walk away from the ferry piers in Bowness. The property has excellent facilities with a modern kitchen open plan to living room, a games room with pool table and chest of board games and outside there is a badminton court, hot tub and sauna. "Another amazing stay at the Lakes Hotel and Spa! We were upgraded on arrival and had a room with a lovely hot tub! We were also picked up in the Bentley as we walked back to the hotel at night time- the staff really can’t do enough for you and the cocktails are amazing!"

"Nice hotel in a lovely setting. Our lakeside view double room was very spacious and comfortable but a little bit dated. With only one window it made the room very dark and the room lighting options weren’t very good. You had to have every light on in order to look in the wardrobe or use the vanity table , which made the room far too bright. The bathroom was ok but needed hooks on the back of the door to hang wet towels or Bath robes . Food and drink at the hotel was very expensive and over priced for what it was. The spa facilities and swimming pool were modern and in good order and my daughter was delighted with the Swedish massage that you had. The biggest problem that we had was the poor facilities at the hotel for charging electric cars. I have a hybrid car which needed charging every day but the hotel wanted £25 per day to use their charger. I fully charged my car in a town car park for £6 which is about the going rate for public chargers but was very inconvenient as it meant we had to stay in one place for too long. I would have preferred to charge overnight at the hotel. The hotel needs to install two or three charging points from one of the many companies that now supply them or get the council to install public charging points in the two public car parks at the front of the hotel. The one I used at the car park in Grassmere operated by Fuuse was very good and I would recommend it. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside and the staff were friendly & helpful."

"What a lovely hotel with such good energy. There’s a serenity to this place. I thoroughly enjoyed the amenities from a swim in the pool, hot sauna, hanging out in the terrace and dinner at The Living Space. The property itself is beautifully designed. A place to stroll and soak in the peacefulness. After dinner I took such a stroll and while everyone else was dining I was able to spend some time on the tree swings by myself. During the day the swings were occupied by children, and why wouldn’t they be, they were delightful. The self-serve breakfast had a great selection and was delicious. Enjoyed my stay."
