"Lovely hotel and well situated in the Grassmarket area of Edinburgh. Staff were all excellent. The only downside to the stay was the shower was not separate to the bath and did not have a great flow of water."

"The Dakota was a great location for us because we were golfing and it is a quick exit out of town. The breakfast was good and the staff were great. It is located near very near a bus stop for a 45 min ride into Inverness to save on parking and right down the hill is Old Town where we ate dinner several nights, great restaurants. The rooms were pretty small for six nights and golf clubs, beds were pretty firms and the gym was tiny. It would be better for shorter stays but we enjoyed our time there. "

"We loved the hotel. The location was convenient. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful. Two minor complaints: 1 - the room was too dark. Definitely needed more lighting; and 2 - our drain in the shower kept filling up and we had to turn the shower off so that it wouldn’t overflow. Would definitely stay there again. "
