From the moment we stepped inside the door, we knew we had made the right choice in choosing this hotel. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the décor is modern and cosy, and the staff are lovely. Check in was simple and straightforward. We stayed in 'Oak' which overlooks the front of the building. The king room is spacious, with a lovely en suite shower room. We were delighted to find some tasty snacks, bottled water, and tea and coffee to enjoy. The room was warm, the bed was so...

An excellent small hotel in a rather grand Victorian house on the main road in Callendar. Easy walk into town. Great base for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Stunning scenery. Recommend going to Lock Katrine, it is beautiful. Loch Lomond was best on its east side, the west side is nearest Glasgow and attracts a lot of people in the summer. The nearby waterfall is worth the walk. The couple who run the hotel are friendly and helpful, and put on the best breakfast we has...

Booked a short notice overnight stay in one of the upgraded pods. It was very nice with a very nice location. It was really quiet and peaceful. We booked dinner in the restaurant and the staff wee attentive, accomodating and very polite. The food choice wasnt huge but the quality of the food was good. It was a little pricey for what it was but you are paying tourist hotel prices. Overall we had a lovely time and would consider booking one of the larger cottages for a family event in the...

Excellent condition, very comfortable and entirely pleasant, efficient and friendly staff.

Fabulous hotel for winding down. Could not fault anything. Grounds are wonderful for a relaxing walk. Can't wait to book this hotel again for another weekend break for my husband and I

Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Very large comfortable bed, quite.

Lovely hotel right on the side of the Loch a 30 minute walk into town, but has a great restaurant and bar on site. Fab for Loch side walks, parking on site and free

Lovely and friendly staff. Check in /out was smooth. The family room was really large and comfortable. The breakfast options were great and at a great price too. The menu was vast and the food was delicious. Walking distance to explore the area and a great stop off point for many attractions.

A short but very pleasant stay at the hotel. As I was visiting relatives I didn't use all the hotel facilities but the room was large, quiet and comfortable, albeit a bit dark. Breakfast was excellent as I expected.

Was curious about Andy Murray's investment in a country hotel. But as I drove up the private road you could see why. It's a lovely secluded residence. It was a relatively quiet night I stayed at with maybe 33-50% occupancy, and I was given a nice upgrade. The fixtures and fittings were extremely high tier, mixed with antique/period pieces. Among other things I had a lovely writing desk looking out to the grounds which would no doubt be a lovely and inspirational place to pen some thoughts or a...

The staff were friendly, with one lovely ginger boy telling us lots of stories about the hotel and its origins, and one tall waiter finding us a seat looking onto the arena despite those tables all being reserved (sorry that I forgot the actual names!) The lodge was cosy, clean, well equipped and also wheelchair accessible which we thought was a nice touch. The food was amazing.. "best salmon I've had in years' and the bruschetta and mussels also top notch for very fair prices. The whole...

booked as an overnight stay as we returned back home after a holiday on Skye, a great hotel with really friendly efficient staff everywhere, nothing was too much trouble for anyone - loved the welcoming warm chocolate brownies on arrival.

Fabulous little find. I booked not realising standard rooms shared the main bathroom. When I arrived it was no problem to upgrade. Breakfast was delish and staff were very attentive. Would definitely recommend this stunning Guest house

Wonderful staff and beautifully decorated rooms. Continental breakfast is quite good as well and they have cocktails and coffees that can be ordered at the front desk.

The first choice hotel for staying in Glasgow

Good food and drink options, ample space to socialise and relax. Central and close to transport links when needed

Superb luxury hotel .. right on the Loch yet 20 miles or so from Glasgow . Very top end spot yet totally unpretentious . Lots of restaurants and bars , great well appointed room and a common theme of professional staff in all areas of the hotel . Our room was very nice, well appointed with good storage and en-suite and we had a nice Loch view . We can recommend the Cameron grill too , that’s a great steak restaurant.. and sitting with a cocktail in the lobby or Great Scot’s bar looking out on...
