"Hotel was well situated for getting around Southampton on foot. Room was a bit dated but adequate, the bed was comfy and we both slept well. The toilet was in a separate small room just inside the entrance to the room, it was showing its age, had no hand wash basin and the décor reminded me of our old outside toilet at our home back in the 1960,s."

"Starting with the front desk staff it was a wonderful stay. We only stayed one night but the room was an upgrade due to some switches and it was beautiful. The old woman at the desk that night was so kind and welcoming that we made friends immediately and I would go back to that hotel anytime I was in town!"

"Hotel was very good, among the best we have stayed in recently. Nicely decorated, clean and tidy. Facilities were great. Stayed in room 121 which was again, very good. Only downside was the bed was too hard and uncomfortable, otherwise in-room facilities were great. Loved the retro radio. ( a safe and fridge might be nice?) Note:, no Aircon, just desk fans. Breakfast catered for everyone with continental & hot options. We had the full English Breakfast which was great on 2 of our 4 days, passable on the other. We didn't try the main restaurant for dinner. The staff were exceptional, polite, professional and had just the right amount of friendliness. Top marks to the staff. Parking was ample and we had no problems. We would be very happy to recommend this hotel and we will be looking to stay again in the future."

"This hotel is very clean and in a perfect location for cruises! There is lots of shopping nearby and it’s a 16 min walk or 6 min uber to the port. The front desk staff is helpful and attentive. They allowed us to store us our bags before check in time because our room wasn’t ready yet. The room was large, the beds comfortable, the bathroom well appointed and clean."

"We arrive late at 10pm and Lily welcome us with a warm smile with excellent services Location is good near National express bus and train stn with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby However, there is no air condition"
