Pleasent stay, very dog friendly, lovely staff and great location for walks by the beach. We also had dinner and breakfast in the pub and both meals were really good.

Thought was a little expensive for a room above a pub . Very basic met my needs but was extremly busy and the steaks were over cooked but this was resolved but duty manager who was very helpful . Check in was not great stood in middle of bar till someone was free and then was quite a lengthy check in . 2 flights of stairs to my room . View over back kitchen area . For £99 thought abit over priced stayed better .

Nice place to stay, very peaceful.
Great stay, all the colleagues were lovely. Especially the lady behind the bar. She was superb. The manager was very understanding and really made me feel welcome during my stay.

Room is very compact and far too hot in the evening with only a tiny window to open making a good nights sleep impossible. Room was clean but found a used condom in the bin. No hot water for a shower on last day. Very friendly helpful staff

Hotel ok for our requirements. Staff helpful. Food below average. No hot water on Sunday morning and cold shower just before checkout not acceptable. Average hotel and not good value as breakfast extra but cannot daily the staff for trying very hard.

A great visit
Hotel and staff where great Location good for beach and plenty of parking. Pub did good food and a good selection of beers and drinks Lots of stairs to room and even though good value the rooms could have a little TLC, but can’t knock how clean the room was and how fresh the bedding was. Live music down in bed but not heard in the room Great staff team that made you feel welcome. Would stay there again 👍😃

Bedroom was very much needing redecoration definitely the worst room I have ever stayed in could not recommend room 3 to anyone Surprisingly the bed was very comfortable and the bed linen was very clean and fresh .

Nice looking hotel
Arrived had to wait awhile to be checked in. Very narrow twisting stairs to bedrooms anybody with mobility problems would struggle, went to room surprised that the two beds where on opposites of the room, the shower was small and the bathroom light continually flickered, both small windows in the room were broken so could not be closed correctly. All of the issues that are listed above have been mention it other reviews but obviously no action has been taken by the brewery/property management which to say the least is extremely disappointing.

Owned by Greene King, the rooms in this pub hotel are very tired and in need of a major refurbishment. My wife and I stayed in room 4 and whilst the beds were new and good, the bedroom and bathroom were both grubby and poor - there was no bath and my wife was not even prepared to use the very basic shower! Breakfast was a shambles. The staff were disinterested, the buffet table was half empty and there was no fresh coffee, only instant. I had to ask for more plates, milk and orange juice. The full English breakfast was OK but not great. In summary, I had a poor overnight experience at this pub/hotel, it represented poor value for money and I would not recommend it to others wishing to stay in the Boscombe/Bournemouth area.

Great place, clean and very friendly, cozy room :-) I must mention Kat (I believe she was the manager) she was so friendly (lovely smile) and nothing was too much trouble, made us feel very welcome. Waitress was very friendly too. Will stay again because of them. good location. Thank you :-)

Simple but clean and comfortable
Lovely near the beach. Was able to access when we got back from a party at 1am so no curfew. Very simple ammendities but all very clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was surprisingly good. Overall very pleased. Good value for money.

Reasonable Hotel
Although the decor is a bit tired the room was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. Good live band on the Friday night, good selection of beers and the food, especially the breakfast more than adequate. Overall would stay there again and would recommend it as a value for money BnB.

We went for the weekend..... the hotel room is ok for the money paid...... bar staff excellent.... food was good served in bar..... room needs a bit updating carpet and decorating.... but for the money we would stay again.

Location is excellent, very close to the beach, hotel staff are excellent, always smiling, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. Food is very good, mostly cooked to order, steak was spot on and cooked breakfast likewise. Rooms need some refurbishment and soundproofing isn't brilliant but it's an old building so that might be difficult.

When we walked into the pub it seemed quite reasonable. Very busy which we took to be a good sign. Went upto our room. It was tiny, that wouldn't have bothered us too much. The decor was really old, wrinkled wallpaper on the ceiling. Again we thought oh well not everywhere can be brand new. The bathroom was really grubby at best!! The sink tap leaked all through the night, we reported it on our first morning but it was never delt with (we stayed for 3 nights). Went out first day, came back and our room hadn't been made up. Phoned down to ask for some clean towels, and remind about the tap. The girl said she was on her own but would bring towels in an hour. She never came. Luckily my husband noticed the linen cupboard open so grabbed some towels. Next day went out again, came back to room not being made up again!! Didn't bother asking this time as we'd got our own towels. On check out I did speak to manager who kindly refunded one nights stay due to our inconvenience. This was a kind gesture which she was not obligated to do. She explained that her usual chambermaid was on leave so she was using an agency chambermaid who doesn't have the same "passion" as her usual staff. I could take this as part explanation, but I'm sorry the bathroom did not get as grubby as it was in just a week, so I don't think much of the passion of the usual chambermaid!! I can't comment on the food, we were planning to eat at the pub, but the room put us off!! Honestly, find somewhere else

Check in was smooth but when we got to the room it was very cold. Radiator was off on arrival but even when turned on full only half of it warmed up. Radiator in bathroom didn't work at all. However, we checked out two days early due to illness and were not charged for the nights we booked but did not use.
