"This was a wonderful location to stay. My wife and I stayed in a private room with a bath on the 4th floor. We enjoyed the style in which the property was decorated. Having the bar downstairs was appreciated and the location on the Royal Mile could not be better. We were in the middle of everything but the noise from the street was never a problem. I would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was wonderful. We lucked out and ended up having a view of the castle despite no castle rooms being available when I booked. The room was clean, comfortable and very good sized. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The soaps provided in the bathroom smelled great. The room had a fridge which was a nice surprise. The food at breakfast was good. I loved the bar/lounge area, it was great place to relax and call home later at night so I didn’t disturb my mom while she was sleeping. The staff was so wonderful, very helpful and pleasant. The only “downside” is there are a lot of stairs when you walk in the front, but there is a ramp just to the left of the main entrance. There is a sign but I didn’t notice it. However staff jumped right in to offer to help carry our luggage up the stairs and direct people to the ramp. Back to the rooms, they provided many tea options, hot chocolate and coffee in the room, as well as wafer cookies. They even had some small milks in the fridge. Will definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Edinburgh!"

"Wish they had parking included. If you’re renting a car make sure you know where you can park. If you don’t have a Britian number you can’t park on the st if you don’t have coins."
