"The stay was average, it was £141.00 on a Monday night for a very small room without breakfast. The person who checked me in was nice, they gave me complimentary cookie which is a nice touch. I asked if there was a robe in the room and they spoke to the person next to her on reception and said not with the room you booked I could have got one for £10 however it was non refundable. The spa was really nice the highlight of the hotel. The hotel itself looks tatty on the outside, it’s ok on the inside nothing as spectacular as the photos look. The rooms themselves were very average. Worn down, cracks and stains. And if someone is in the corridor it’s extremely loud. Someone was on the phone speaking loudly in the other room and could hear everything they were saying plus the person on the phone so there is no soundproofing at all. It was ok for one night stay but not worth the rate I paid. On check out the person that was stood next to the nice lady that checked me in was there. When I checked out she didn’t ask me how my stay was just asked me what my room number was and have a good day, think there could be lots of improvements made to this hotel. "Room was clean. Breakfast was fresh and replenished quickly. Easy to use coffee machines and could order scrambled or poached eggs. Fried eggs out. Pool was great "

"Unfortunately in our room the ventilation was not working and had a error come up if you tried to restart the air conditioning. We did not really need air conditioning for cooling that much but just flowing air would have been much nicer as the room but a bit muggy and musky because lack of air flow. Windows did open a bit we found so that did help. Room was well fitted out but some things did not work, usb ports along side bed, fan in bathroom. Not a deal breaker but could have been better for sure. Good Competitive rates though as well."

"We stay on a regular basis ,can't fault the picked sprout restaurant, food always top notch ,rooms a bit dated but comfortable and always clean ."

"The setting of this hotel is beautiful. The room we had was recently renovated and was extremely comfortable. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive. We will be back to Harrogate and will definitely look to stay here again. The on-site Amber's restaurant is divine, and the food was amazing."

"This property is convenient to the train station, the wall, and walking around the city. Our room was in the basement(!), and it was comfortable. The bathroom was quite narrow and small. Happy hour specials are fantastic, and we enjoyed that. Breakfast was a zoo, but it had all the typical offerings. The gym was a good size with good equipment offerings. Wifi was strong for streaming."
