"Lovely hotel, central, great staff, bar and restaurant, nice to sit outside too "

"Stayed at The Yorkshire Hotel in Harrogate and let me tell you — it’s the kind of place where you half expect the receptionist to offer you a cuppa and ask if your whippet needs owt. From the outside, it looks like it’s been standing proudly since before gravy was invented (a grim time we try not to talk about). Inside? Fancy. Proper fancy. Like someone gave Betty’s Tea Room a promotion and a scented candle. The rooms were lush — comfy beds, posh bathrooms, and views over Harrogate that’ll make you question why you ever went abroad. I asked for a wake-up call and they nearly shouted “Eeeeh up! Time’s gettin’ on!” down the phone. Glorious. Only complaint? No actual whippets in the lounge. Not one. I asked the barman and he said, “Health and safety, love.” Shame. Would’ve given it six stars if they’d had a communal dog. Gravy rating: 10/10. Hospitality: warmer than a pie fresh out the oven. Will return with a flat cap and unrealistic property aspirations."

"Excellent service, from great staff. Lovely clean and spacious room for 3 adults, and access to the club lounge was just the icing on the cake - what a lovely idea."

"First time in this hotel and although it is a little away from the main town centre (15 minutes walk), it is definitely somewhere we’re looking at staying again. Hotel modern and clean, room very comfy (although a pillar in the room near the bed made it a bit tight for getting in and out of bed if needing the bathroom in the night), with good air con and modern clean bathroom. We took advantage of the breakfast and was a great choice, with fresh food and plenty of choice of hot and cold offerings, with make your own Belgian waffles a nice touch and one for the youngsters or those with a sweet tooth. We got in after our night out around 1.30 am and there was someone in the reception, I’d were needed anything and so we were able to get a couple of chocolate bars to appease our cravings. Loved the stay. "

"Really liked the room. As my partner has broken her collarbone, I asked in advance if we could have extra pillows. Had to request these again from reception during check in the though"
