Hidden away in the depths of the sublime north Devonshire countryside, you will find May Cottage, a characterful converted stable, where a relaxing break surrounded by woodland and countryside awaits. From the farm gate along the lane drive to the rear of the cottages where you will find ample parking. Enter through the quaint garden gate and take the path across your lawn and private patio to the door where upon entry you will be greeted by a delightfully bright and uplifting open plan living space, with original stone walls, a comfortable sofa alongside a wingback chair and electric wood burning effect stove for an added cosy touch.
The wooden dining table speaks of simplicity and charm, perfect for leisurely meals or family feasts whilst the spacious kitchen is ready to handle everything from morning coffee to sublime creations. Spiral stairs add a touch of whimsy as they lead to the upper floor, where two cosy bedrooms await, one adaptable with twin beds that can be transformed into a super king-size, and the other a comfortable double. The family bathroom, with its stylish curved corner shower, completes the cottage, promising a blend of comfort and countryside charm.
Venture away from this wonderful place and discover the renowned Farmers Arms, just over a mile distant where you can immerse yourself in mouthwatering culinary delights. A fun-filled day out at the Milky Way Adventure Park waits for all ages, whilst the rugged Hartland Devon Heritage Coast reveals dramatic cliffs lashed by the vast Atlantic Ocean and the final resting place of many shipwrecks. Visit Clovelly, the famous picture postcard fishing village clinging to the hillside, or to the east Westward Ho! and its golden sands and powerful waves rolling in from the ocean, a favourite of surfers and families alike. Along the coast west into Cornwall discover Bude, a Victorian seaside town, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and cafes along with its own array of beaches and natural sea pool.
