Lovely hotel in a quiet location but loads of things to do nearby from Oxford to Bicester Village and the Cotswolds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food was the standout with great menu, quality and presentation. Would highly recommend

Nice hotel and had a lovely meal in restaurant. It was a bit noisy due to private party but that’s our issue due to going to sleep early! Good breakfast too.

Just back from a few days staying at the De Vere, Sandford on Thames. Excellent hotel, comfy deluxe double, delicious breakfast with great choice of food. Helpful staff on reception suggested taking the bus, from just outside the hotel, in to Oxford. 15 mins and we were in the heart of the city. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great find. Hotel absolutely superb, extremely clean rooms and very comfortable beds. The owner (Alistair) and the reception/breakfast staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive and could not do enough for us. Small bar available to round off the day and lovely breakfast to start the next one. All in in would highly recommend this hotel.

Anniversary weekend. Very nice hotel with character and good service - just what we were looking for. The room was super, the hotel serve fantastic afternoon tea and we loved the quiet library and the little sun-trap on the library terrace. Would have liked fluffy bathrobes, but can't think of anything else to improve. Be warned: - The bed was hard (which we like/prefer) but large and comfortable. My other half's birthday, celebrated by staying here and dining in Oxford. Laura ( the owner & hubby) were fantastic, the four poster was beautiful and room so very appealing and comfortable, you have use of own lounge too with Piano ! Overall a lovely hideaway.... just remember wellies as this is a working Horse Stables, Thank you guys, you were fab and so was the venue :) Breakfast was beautiful too x

The Malmaison oxford is so far one of our best stays we have had in the uk! The hotel is a stunning renovation from a prison to a hotel that my now fiance just loved. The interior is stunning and classy with such helpful staff that took our car and parked it when we arrived, making us feel like Royalty. The Junior suite was breath taking with so much space, large bed, large tv, comfy and stylish seating and a large double shower to top it off. although we didn't eat in the hotel we did visit...

Beautiful property and a lovely room in the eves with a lounge. Bar closed early though. Breakfast cooked perfectly and was great for vegan and meat eaters. Perfect position in Town

Our stay at the Mercure was overall very positive. We travelled from north devon to visit a family member at the Churchill hospital. We arrived at 1pm on Sunday and didnt expect to check in, but asked in the bar if we could have a quick sandwich before driving to the hospital. we were told that we could only have a roast dinner or chips. When asked, staff were told by chef that this was not possible. This was not a good first impression. Apart from this everything was excellent and all staff...

Extremely disappointed with this hotel. The heating system was not working properly, our room was cold the entire time we stayed there. We were given a fanheater for our room but it was not really ideal given the low temperatures we had during the weekend. I had a treatment booked at the spa, again staff were using a fanheater to warm the room as it was really cold. I expected a variety of food items for breakfast but this wasn't the case, the breakfast range was very limited-no fresh fruits...
