Very charming property with lovely staff and very good breakfast. Parking was good also. Great location.
There are no elevators as it is a 15th century ex coaching inn so if there are any mobility issues or heavy suitcases it may be challenging.
There is also no electric sockets in the bathroom for any shavers or electric toothbrushes. We couldn’t drink the tap water or even use for tea or coffee due to the soft water conditioner.
Having said all of that we would definitely return but would make sure we booked a room on a lower floor.
Really loved it here!! Lovely location, loads of nice bars, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants in the area and walking distance from Blenheim and fab breakfast, quality ingredients!!
Beautiful characterful old property with a pretty central courtyard and lovely friendly staff. Good breakfast served in lovely airy room but a pity other even simple meals not served although there are many options for lunch and dinner within a couple of minutes walk in the town so not a problem.
Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay, very comfy beds, more than dog friendly but the excellence came from the staff, all very friendly, helpful and caring. perfect location
Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us
Very clean, bright and open big room, bath and separate shower
Floors creaked a bit but it is an old building so that’s expected
Great breakfast made with good ingredients
Would definitely stay again , worth every penny
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff, especially Alina, were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. Our dogs were spoiled during our stay.
What was great;
Onsite parking
Room clean and tidy
Shower was hot and powerful
Drinking water available in the room
Decor and comfort of the hotel
Location - Woodstock is beautiful!
Breakfast was one of the best.
Keep doing what you are doing! Such a beautiful place.
This quirky old hotel was wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel’s age means slanting floors and delightful artwork surround you. Don’t worry about the lift and luggage, the staff is only too willing to lug your stuff! Location to Blenheim, pubs, cute town, bus route is perfect. I stayed for five days and had a new breakfast every morning. Bath products are plentiful and nice. Also, drinks available if pubs aren’t your thing. Would stay again.
Excellent location right in the centre of the wonderful Woodstock. Room was bright and airy, the bed was very comfortable. Shower was great and the teas/coffees/biscuits provided were great. There was a fan in our room which was very much appreciated in the 29 degree heat.
Free parking to the rear of the property which was so helpful.
Lovely breakfast - we both chose the full English which was delicious. The breakfast room was beautiful with a small sunny courtyard surrounded by lavender.
Additional shady courtyard tables were welcomed - we sat and shared a bottle of Prosecco from the bar.
Only negative was we were charged £30 for our two dogs which we didn't realise would happen. I still maintain our dogs will cause less mess and noise than most children (I know I have two....!)

Staff very helpful & friendly, breakfast was great.
Room was huge, however the bathroom was like a sauna & the bedroom was like an igloo.
