Groundfloor room some walking distance from reception area proved to be colder than I like....and the extra heater in there was presumably to help with the chill. The room itself was sufficient with amenities and a very comfortable bed which provided nice clean sheets. The bathroom was clean and ...
Everything was pretty good, except the temperature in the room. It was like an icebox. We were given a small electric heater which we had on all night! I've never had to sleep in trousers and a top in a hotel before! This did affect our stay as in the morning it was so cold, I didn't want to shower! ...
This was a very nice hotel and staff were very friendly and attentive our only problem was that we are quite a large couple and we found the standard double bed a little small and much too soft, so we did not get a good nights sleep. on the plus side breakfast was brilliant and a checkout time of ...
I would thoroughly recommend The Crazy Fox staff were unbelievably helpful and accommodating for our wedding party (which over took the hotel) super comfortable beds, gorgeous bedding and fab coffee, what more could we ask for!
We received a very warm welcome at the Royal Beekshire. The room was modern and comfortable. The surroundings and service were refined. Breakfast was beautifully presented and in a restful atmosphere. Very good value and a restful experience.
Good hotel close to Heathrow Airport. Also good guest services and amenities as well as helpful staff
The Royal County of Berkshire combines gorgeous countryside with modern towns, historical attractions and romantic restaurants. At just 50 miles from London and easily accessible by road or rail, beautiful Berkshire will take your breath away. From castles such as Highclere and Windsor to cosy cafés in Eton, you'll find plenty to celebrate in Berkshire. When John of Gaunt married Blanche, daughter of Henry Duke of Lancaster on May 19th, 1359 at Reading Abbey, the celebrations lasted for twelve days. With stately homes and walks through meadows, ancient woodland and intimate pubs, it's a genuinely romantic place too. So why not say 'I do' to a wedding hotel in Berkshire, and make sure the Big Day is something to remember for all the right reasons?
While you might be too busy thinking about the flowers, whether the caterers are going to turn up on time and where you're going to house all those guests, there's still plenty to see and do in Berkshire. Escape the planning and madness for a few hours and head to Cliveden, a gorgeous stately home that once belonged to the American businessman, newspaper publisher and politician William Waldorf Astor. If you need to grab 'something new or blue' for the ceremony, then Reading is a popular market town and one of the largest urban centres in Berkshire. Forming part of the London commuter belt, the area around Reading has been a settlement since Roman times and with its abbey remains, Forbury Gardens and ruined castles nearby is testament to both its heritage and its links with royalty.
