"We stayed here for 2 nights when we attended a wedding. Great location with access to shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean with good bathroooms and comfy beds. Breakast was included and it was tasty and fresh. We are vegan and it is the best hotel breakfast we have had. But the thing that elevates it is the staff. So helpful, attentive, and friendly. A great stay."

"Perfect hotel for a night stay before flight. The mattress was sagging a bit and toilet was clogged. The spa area was very nice and staff and food was delicious. Would stay again."
"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

"Very nice welcome and hosts were very helpful. Luxurious room and bathroom. Nothing seemed too much for the hosts with great choice for made to order breakfast. The property sits in large and well laid out grounds. Dinner was also available. Would thoroughly recommend you stay here."

"Hot tub could have done with more chlorine as it went very green and smelled after just a small time being in it even though we had showered before entering. Everything else was lovely just a pop bottle left under sofa possibly from last people.Tried to phone the warden as we were concerned about gate being locked at 9, as it says in the info given, however call was not answered and neither was the text. "
