2 night country break, great location on market square, town is great base for the area.off street parking as well. Dined both nights in hotel, very pleased with food.nice relaxed bar/dining space with outside (viewing onto main st) seating.

The hotel is located very close to the A19 near to Yarm, however it is located in the beautiful and tranquil grounds which enjoy stunning views of the Cleveland Hills with only a very low level of noise drifting up from the A19. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. We were made to feel both very welcome and comfortable with nothing being a problem. Lovely junior garden room with a very nice view! Very cosy and dog friendly! Super food served and the staff especially Jane & Lauren were so lovely and gave super service! Would highly recommend staying or dining here!

What a find. Super rural location, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were spotless with loads of little special extras. The breakfast and the bistro style food was superb. We had a brilliant stay here and we would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

Excellent quality cooked breakfast. Our room was in the Chalets out the back of the pub with every thing we needed provided including biscuits and a hair dryer!

Our family get together weekend at The Old Oak Tree was supreme! Absolutely faultless from arriving, check-in, accommodation, welcome, rear patio/beer garden, drinks service, dinner food and service. Breakfast was fantastic, the whole team was attentive, polite and helpful from beginning to end - a totally positive experience. The Old Oak Tree is fabulous in all departments!!

Short stay for family visit so didn't try the restaurant. Bed room excellent, Hypnos mattress very comfortable. Bath room was a little "tired" and could do with a bit of a re-vamp but that's all. Very clean, will definitely stay again.

First off, Sue (the owner) is just the best! I phoned in advance and asked a couple of favours of her, to put a couple of gifts in the room to surprise my girlfriend. Not only did she do it but she did it for less than budget! (If you do ask something of her like this, it's only fair to reward the wonderful lady with a gift of her own. OK?! Haha!) Checked in mid evening and was cold outside. Was informed at check in that the team had been to my room and closed the curtains and put the heating on so it was not cold. Wow now that’s some check in service

We stayed here to watch the Tour de Yorkshire the hotel staff were lovely, breakfast cooked to order alongside the buffet. The only downside was the bed was smaller than we are used to so sleep was difficult. (Room19) maybe ask for a larger bed if you are a couple! However we had a fabulous break.

Nice clean rooms with comfy beds! We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food is lovely. The Italian restaurant is as good as any Italian I’ve eaten at! Staff friendly and welcoming- we would definitely stay there again! Thanks Holiday Inn!😁
