"A fantastic place to stay in Cougar! Extremely clean and very impressed with how up to date they were on everything. Room was perfect for what we needed. Host was very responsive at getting us checked in. The waitress/cook/bar tender deserves a raise! She was also training a new employee and doing it all on top of that. "The location is perfect right on the river with a great view from all windows. There are day trip opportunities near by the Mt St. Helens Visitor center, small town Kalama and McMenimans w/rec area. "The Lewis River flows by just outside the door of this marvelous house. The well-stocked kitchen (condiments! Sharp knives! Toaster!) was super nice to use, and stores are a short drive away in Woodland. The homemade salmon dip was amazing! The hosts were friendly and helpful and stayed out of our hair once we checked in.
