"Staff were very friendly and the food was lovely"

"Lovely clean room, and comfortable bed. The bar area was nice with a lot of choice. We ate at the restaurant- food was lovely but the service was poor. After we had our starter, it took over an hour for our mains to arrive. Nobody came to check on us or apologise for the delay. I had to grab a passing barman to ask for more drinks and after being there an hour and a quarter, chase up our mains. Such a shame because the food was very tasty but I wouldn’t eat there again "

"This cottage makes the most of its small space. It is comfortable, cosy, pretty and has everything for a short or longer stay. It is perfectly located for Baslow and all that it has to offer, including just a short stroll from the wonderful village shop. I enjoyed my stay very much but, in my opinion, it is overpriced. Also, be aware that the neighbour has a routine of early to bed, early to rise (5.30 am.) Not particularly conducive to a holiday!"
