If you’ve travelled by car, this is definitely the place to stay….large, secure car park and about a 20 minute walk to centre of Canterbury. Taxi about £5.40 back from centre. Very recommended indeed." We had a beautiful room with side sea view. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The hotel is old but has a great cocktail bar and conservatory . I would definitely recommend this hotel." Spa area is ok, but quite full on the weekend so be prepared :-) Two things that were a little bit of a let-down; for a hotel that prides itself as a spa hotel it should really have shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Especially after pool time. Second thing is that the TV is not smart - just something to keep in mind if you want to chill after a little swim around the pool. Otherwise hotel and amenities are pretty good. The on-suite was large and well set out. Only negative was a shower that barely sprayed, no pressure and the temperature fluctuated. Bed was very comfortable and the quilt heavy. Food was standard pub fare well cooked and delicious. The staff were were good, welcoming and helpful. Car parking was easy and secure. Will stay again if available."
