"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

A little off the beaten track but accommodation was excellent. All staff were friendly and courteous. Room was spacious with a great shower. Pub below/next door had a good selection of real ales.

My first time staying here and I was very impressed, the venue itself is beautiful, the whole place including the grounds were very clean and tidy, the decor of the place was lovely and very imaginative.
My room was fantastic, very large, clean and had all the facilities. Dinner and breakfast were just perfect. I cant fault the place in any way, the staff were all very polite, perfect.

We had a fantastic stay at the butchers arms.
They were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with another hotel and Andrew and his team couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely place to stay.
Very clean place. Bed was super comfy had a fantastic nights sleep.
We will definitely stay again if in the area. Thank you Andrew and all the team for looking after us. 😊😊

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially when I couldn't open the key cabinet. Dinner was quite excellent and reasonably priced. Room was larger than expected but TV reception was patchy and screen kept freezing perhaps due to poor Wi-Fi reception. One thing to remember, they do not have allocated parking - whilst there is a large car park behind it is £2 for 2 hours and £6 for a day but keep in mind the gates are shut from10pm to 8am which is unhelpful when you need to leave...

Stayed a year ago and re-booked for this year. Just one night stay, but the service is excellent, and we would like to have a longer stay next time. Our host is very helpful, and the breakfast is just what you need. Our room was comfortable, and the bed is lovely. Might bring the dogs next time to enjoy the countryside.

We had a lovely overnight night stay at the Wallace. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and tidy with tea, coffee and Welsh cakes.
The pub was inviting with roaring log burner which gave extra coziness. The evening meal was delicious😋 The best local sourced fillet steak which was cooked to perfection. Full English breakfast was also very good. I would definitely stay again

What is the nightly rate for a Bed and Breakfast in Bargoed?
Prices for B&Bs in Bargoed often vary, but you can find a great deal from £51 with Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as location and the time of year. It usually costs more to stay at Bargoed B&Bs over the weekend too. Travelers can find the best deals by being flexible with their dates, and by using our filters to sort prices from low to high.
When is the best time to book a Bed and Breakfast in Bargoed?
The best time to book a B&B in Bargoed is during the late spring to early summer months, particularly from May to June. This period is characterised by mild and pleasant weather, superb for exploring the scenic landscapes and engaging in outdoor activities. As temperatures typically range from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius, visitors can enjoy comfortable conditions while hiking through the nearby Brecon Beacons National Park or wandering around local attractions.
May is especially appealing, as it marks the beginning of the warmer season when the area's beautiful flora is in full bloom. You can take leisurely walks along the picturesque trails and enjoy the vibrant colours of nature, all while avoiding the larger crowds that come with the peak tourist season.
For those looking to save a bit on accommodation, consider visiting Bargoed in November. Travelers can look forward to personal touches, thoughtful amenities and of course a scrumptious breakfast at Bargoed B&Bs.
