"Lovely hotel right on the side of the Loch a 30 minute walk into town, but has a great restaurant and bar on site. Fab for Loch side walks, parking on site and free"

Booked a short notice overnight stay in one of the upgraded pods. It was very nice with a very nice location.
It was really quiet and peaceful.
We booked dinner in the restaurant and the staff wee attentive, accomodating and very polite. The food choice wasnt huge but the quality of the food was good. It was a little pricey for what it was but you are paying tourist hotel prices.
Overall we had a lovely time and would consider booking one of the larger cottages for a family event in the...

Lovely and friendly staff. Check in /out was smooth. The family room was really large and comfortable. The breakfast options were great and at a great price too. The menu was vast and the food was delicious. Walking distance to explore the area and a great stop off point for many attractions.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Luss village moments from Loch Lomand.
The hotel had a lot of character and the menu in the restaurant was far more interesting than most hotels in the highlands.
The staff on the desk were helpful.
It was well priced for the quality.
Breakfast was very nice.

Superb luxury hotel .. right on the Loch yet 20 miles or so from Glasgow . Very top end spot yet totally unpretentious . Lots of restaurants and bars , great well appointed room and a common theme of professional staff in all areas of the hotel . Our room was very nice, well appointed with good storage and en-suite and we had a nice Loch view . We can recommend the Cameron grill too , that’s a great steak restaurant.. and sitting with a cocktail in the lobby or Great Scot’s bar looking out on...

An excellent small hotel in a rather grand Victorian house on the main road in Callendar. Easy walk into town. Great base for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Stunning scenery. Recommend going to Lock Katrine, it is beautiful. Loch Lomond was best on its east side, the west side is nearest Glasgow and attracts a lot of people in the summer. The nearby waterfall is worth the walk. The couple who run the hotel are friendly and helpful, and put on the best breakfast we has...

The staff were friendly, with one lovely ginger boy telling us lots of stories about the hotel and its origins, and one tall waiter finding us a seat looking onto the arena despite those tables all being reserved (sorry that I forgot the actual names!) The lodge was cosy, clean, well equipped and also wheelchair accessible which we thought was a nice touch. The food was amazing.. "best salmon I've had in years' and the bruschetta and mussels also top notch for very fair prices.

From the moment we stepped inside the door, we knew we had made the right choice in choosing this hotel. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the décor is modern and cosy, and the staff are lovely.
Check in was simple and straightforward.
We stayed in 'Oak' which overlooks the front of the building. The king room is spacious, with a lovely en suite shower room. We were delighted to find some tasty snacks, bottled water, and tea and coffee to enjoy. The room was warm, the bed was so...

I stayed with two friends to do some walking in the Trossachs and Loch Lomond area. Our primary requirement was for somewhere of a reasonable standard within easy driving distance of where we wanted to walk. In the event, the Abbotsford Hotel delivered all that we wanted and more. The accommodation was good, in comfortable well-fitted rooms, food was great and, most of all, the staff were as friendly and helpful as any I have come across. A short but very pleasant stay at the hotel. As I was visiting relatives I didn't use all the hotel facilities but the room was large, quiet and comfortable, albeit a bit dark. Breakfast was excellent as I expected.

2 good nights sleep. Good size room. King sixe bed and matress zzzzzz. Both meals and breakfasts were great. The staff are very pleasant and polite. They actually look like they enjoy working there. This could be because it is an NHS run hospital so less stressful on the staff. The views are of the River Clyde. Both days we watched the last ocean going steam paddle ship sail past it is the best sight and sound.

Wonderful staff and beautifully decorated rooms. Continental breakfast is quite good as well and they have cocktails and coffees that can be ordered at the front desk.

The room was clean and spacious enough. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing seemed too much. It was perfect proximity to the Hydro and the breakfast was delicious.
We would definitely stay there again

Great location, nice double room, and excellent food and service...but unfortunately no guinness available...otherwise well done to all the staff there for making our stay a good one. Keep up the good work.

Nearest hotel to Glasgow Airport
Not particularly noisy
Staff were helpful
Bed was comfy
Only negative was the chain on the door had been tampered with so we couldn't secure the door properly (room 505)
