"Appreciate we had a room right at the front of the hotel but the noise in the morning from the unloading delivery van was very very loud."

"I stayed here with my wife and two kids for a two night stay. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the overall cleanliness of the room. It had been made up to accommodate all the beds we needed and it was a very lovely little room to stay in. The bathroom was very clean too. Also plug sockets on each bedside! Those are a game changer which surprisingly aren't in a lot of hotel rooms. Here come the negatives. We were a little disappointed that the room did not come with a mini fridge as those are always handy to have and also there was no lift. It’s only two storeys but when you have heavy luggage it’s quite necessary. I don’t know what wheelchair users would do. Not a huge deal to us but just some things which I feel I have to comment on. The main negative came at the end of our stay. When fishing underneath the main bed for any lost kids toys before checking out, I saw it had not been cleaned at all under the bed. There was a used tissue, sweets stuck to the carpet and crumbs. Then I saw a shiny pink thing which caught my eye. I had to use the TV remote to get it out. What it turned out to be was a piece of illegal smoking paraphernalia. A grinder of sorts. A quick sniff confirmed my suspicions. It must have been left on the bedside from a previous visitor and fell off and rolled underneath. This was the worst part of our stay. Lucky it was at the end and lucky it was not something ‘worse’ which my children could have picked up. "

"Not impressed with the check-in policy. Charging an extra £10 per hour before 4pm. Room ready but trying to fleece the customer."

"It's clean and cheap, perfectly good for a one-night stay. Tiny room with barely enough room to walk around the bed. Funky hooks but no real storage. I've stayed here a couple of times before and I know what to expect. My main gripe on this occasion was how an overnight fire alarm was dealt with. We all traipsed downstairs when the alarm went off, the member of staff on duty told us it was ok, we could all go back to bed but the alarm might go off again. He explained that there was someone live streaming themself "messing around with fire" in their room. Security were in the process of tracking them down and chucking them out. I have no idea what kind of "messing around with fire" we're talking about here, but to me that is not a circumstance in which guests should be sent back to bed and encouraged to ignore the alarm."

"Staff at reception pleasant enough. Could be a great place .. very big ! And possibly in process of renovation ? Not quite as pictures suggest sadly. Just not as clean as it really could be . Also tv in our room very poor and only couple of channels worked .didnt use it enough to worry thankfully,despite staying 2 nights . Bed seemed clean enough just general room/ shower cleanliness ."

"Hotel and staff are fab this is my 3rd stay within months and it’s now a firm fav, what makes this hotel is the nice clean rooms but mostly the brilliant staff they cannot do enough for you, they treat you like a friend, polite cheery and knowledgeable. The brekkie is a buffet style vegan sausages to order should you want them, scrambled eggs mushrooms sausages bacon beans hash browns and hot porridge, lots of cold foods and the bread selection is great. Just what you need to start the day. Easy to have food delivered in from local shops should you need too but the food in the hotel for evening meal is nice and fairly priced."
