Praia do Vale do Olival is another beach located west of Armação de Pera Beach. There’s a trail through the cliffs that connect it with Beijinhos Beach.
Explore the caves in a traditional fishing boat or just take a cruise along the coastline, where you will discover the stunning rock formations and beaches.
Head to Salgados Lagoon for a bit of birdwatching. The Salgados Lagoon is part of a series of small lakes on the Algarve coast and is a refuge for many varieties of birds, such as the common-coot and the little grebe, while patches of reeds provide a home to moorhens. Among the most common species are the mallard, waders and flamingo.

There is a bus from Faro to Armação de Pera, but most visitors prefer to rent a car to explore the Algarve at their own pace.
