"We had a wonderful stay at Appleby Castle. We were made so welcome by hosts Sally and Peter. The room was adequate for a castle. Dinner was superb, a of mix of prawn and salmon starter followed by main course of garlic chicken. The setting was the in the beautiful dining room. We were the only ones dining, and had the chef cooking solely for ourselves !! Peter played the piano as we dined. Sally could not have been nicer as we chatted. "Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...

"Firstly the pictures do not show the true beauty of the amazing cottage , everything you will need and more is here for you to enjoy , from the interior to the exterior surrounding. a great place to stay for our Daughters wedding at Eden Barn. Not forgetting the great welcome from the owners. if you love walking this is the place to be ,miles of hidden tracks and small welcoming pubs after your 2 or 3 hours walking.
