"I am very disappointed by the condition of the Loom Cabin where we spent two nights this week. Many items are in a state of disrepair and basic maintenance is sorely lacking. Here a few examples: - we arrived to an empty Modelo beer bottle sitting on the bottom step of the outside stairs. - speaking of the outside stairs, the wood is completely rotted in some places with one or two steps completely missing. As a faint hearted attempt at safety, there was a cord tied across the entrance to the stairs but nothing blocking a curious child from trying to climb the stairs from the front porch. - As you step into the front porch, the first plank is also partially rotted and/ cracked and will probably fail soon. Hopefully no one is hurt. Inside, the cabin is quaint and comfortable but we also found some items in disrepair: my bedside lamp was broken and needed a bulb, if you need to connect a charger or CPAP you have to get on all fours and search under the bed for a power strip. Actually 2 power strips connected serially to each other and then to an outlet behind the bed. Who knows if this is even up to code. Downstairs, there's some thermostat thingy hanging off the wall with wiring exposed. Having a small kitchen area with a sink, Keurig, and toaster oven was convenient. Of course it would have been nice to find more than just one fork, two spoons, one butter knife and one kitchen knife there. Given the cost of the stay, we were not impressed to say the least."

"We had a wonderful 4 nights at this beautiful cabin. We were lucky enough for it to have snowed in March during our stay. The fire place made our stay comfy and warm. The owners left very thorough and thoughtful instructions about all the games and how to play them. We enjoyed enjoyed the game room and the well stocked clean cabin. We reconnected with nature and truly enjoyed the deer that came every morning and evening. We highly recommend this cabin and are very thankful to our gracious hosts! Sincerely the Medingers"

"I want to start off by saying the house is beautiful and the scenery is so great! Staying at this place was one of the best decisions when it came to the scenery and just the homey feeling. However, we did find some things to be quite difficult when we got inside. The hot tub did not work both nights we were staying there and I give credit to rental company as a tech was at our place within 2 hours of calling. However, they were not able to fix the situation at first and were not able to provide different accommodations due to everything else being booked. After this was noted I requested a refund due to the hot tub not working (seeing that’s what we paid for) and I didn’t even go into depth of how every dish in the house was dirty (but I normally wash dishes anyways before I use them, but still discouraging when everything had dirt caked on it). I was texted on Saturday afternoon that the manager was notified. I received no follow ups on Sunday and on Monday I reached out. I was sent to a voicemail and did not receive a response. I reached out to VRBO and they were able to get in contact with the host. They then did refund us some of the stay, but no response for 2 days was discouraging and is not the way things should’ve been handled. All in all, the place was beautiful and we made the best of our vacation. We were super disappointed about the hot tub as that’s the one thing we look for when booking stays."

"The coziest cabin in an amazing setting. We had several inches of snow fall while there, and for this Florida family, that was absolutely amazing to see. "

"Me and mamas cabin was amazing. It was easy to get to the directions were right on point. No problem checking in or out. The cabin is everything the website says. The towns near by are amazing. It snowed when we were there so we too advantage and went snow tubing. We visited Grand Father mountain and did the mountain coaster. There are so many attractions near by. I would definitely stay there again."
