"Very comfortable overnight stay booked as were going to a music festival a few miles away and didn’t want to drive back home late at night . This was perfect . A nice welcome and check in/check out. We booked breakfast and it was delicious. The breakfast host was very welcoming as were the team in the restaurant . Having a gym was very useful. Bedrooms was nice and spacious and well maintained Iron and ironing board, hairdryer,plenty of power points and usb ports. Lots of wardrobe space and lighting inthe wardrobe . Bathroom had shower , which we prefer to a bath. Very quiet room. The only thing that I didn’t notice was a safe . Maybe it was hidden. A mini fridge would have been nice but not essential. all in all a very comfortable stay and we would definitely stay again when meeting friends or family from Bristol or Gloucester area. Or visiting the Cotswolds but not wanting to drive back to London. "

"Close to train station from where we walked. Good visit. Room was comfortable and well thought out with everything we needed. Check in/out excellent and fast. Breakfast was enough to set us up for the day."

"Lovely hotel surrounded by greenery with a few cows grazing too! Breakfast was lovely. Took me 35 minutes to get to Heathrow; far more pleasant than the fringes of West London."

"The VOCO in Reading was our last stay after a 9 day trip with overnight stays in Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and London, and the BEST stay of the entire trip. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like five star guests in a five star hotel. The front desk was so helpful in making recommendations and offering to arrange taxi service, and then rescheduling that service when I needed it. The restaurant was great with fantastic hours; despite checking in late after 8 PM, we were still able to enjoy a great dinner and drink in the hotel bar. The restaurant and bar staff were also top-notch. We had a party of three, with two adults and a 13 year-old and had special requests about dining the next day. When we were arrived for dinner, even though we had a different server, they were aware of what we had shared the night before and fully prepared. We stayed for two nights and the accommodations were extremely comfortable. From being from America, we are used to air-conditioning and the air-conditioning in that hotel was great – the best of any hotel across our trip. We can’t speak more highly about the service. The only drawback, and it’s very small, there was no coffee or tea in the room and you needed to go down to the restaurant and I pay for a cup (or it was included if you dined in for a fee). Overall, this hotel was fantastic and probably the best service we’ve ever received while traveling."
