Norton Park Hotel, Spa & Manor House

"We came to the Norton Park 3 years ago and returned because it was so excellent. Whereas the hotel is still amazing, standards have slipped unfortunately. There are a small number of staff that have so much potential but lack management guidance. The grounds are magnificent but the fabulous woodland walk that was there 3 years ago has become overgrown so the walks we had with our dog were contained more to the manor house and hotel which was a shame. We also missed the rope swing that hung from the bought of the tree by the pond. Would still recommend"

"Lovely place to have as a base for a university reunion - great bar to come back to after dining out, excellent value for money, able to check in on Saturday early, and they automatically have late check out on a Sunday till 3pm. Message them in advance for the discount code for 40% off at the Q-Park 5 mins walk away."

"A lot of reviews say negative comments but it was a lovely stay lovely pool towels to help urself when you go into the pool one thing I would say is if you book for breakfast you do need to get down there earlier as soon as it I Opens but overall really good stay"

"It’s a good hotel and I recommend it. The rooms aren’t too well insulated corridor wise so it cam be a bit noisy with people passing…suggest asking for a room at the end of the corridor if that’s an issue. Pools are good as are the facilities"

"Very nice and helpful staff with nothing too much trouble. The sign of a hotels attention to detail is if you have a bottle of wine at 10:30pm and no corkscrew, there are two in reception for guests use. Brilliant swimming pool and no crowds. Excellent breakfast for €12."

"Lovely stay for my birthday food was great rooms were lovely staff were friendly only a couple of minor things we got back late and the car park was full managed to get the last space thankfully but maybe bare that in mind, then our neighbours were up till 4 am they weren’t being extra loud but we could hear them (not hotels fault) and the lastly we put the “refresh room” sign on our door and when we got back from day out it hadn’t been done so had to go to reception to ask for more tea and coffee for room"

"Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the fridge and microwave availability. My only comment is there was no interior latch on the ground floor window which I would have preferred. But the location was convenient to Reading's main areas."
