Really lovely stay for 3 nights. Gorgeous room and bathroom, great friendly staff and good food. Very good value. Train station right across the road. Would definitely stay again.

It had everything we needed for a one nights stay. The only thing we couldn’t find was the switch for the heating as we did need to take the chill off now it’s getting cooler. Despite the fire alarm going off and no one knowing what to do at 5am we had a pleasant stay

Clean, well presented, friendly helpful staff and a decent breakfast! Couldn't ask for any more, was a great place to stay. We only stayed one night but would be happy to return and stay longer!
Highly recommended

My first time staying here and I was very impressed, the venue itself is beautiful, the whole place including the grounds were very clean and tidy, the decor of the place was lovely and very imaginative.
My room was fantastic, very large, clean and had all the facilities. Dinner and breakfast were just perfect. I cant fault the place in any way, the staff were all very polite, perfect.

We couldn't fault this - from the welcome, through a comfortable sleep to a friendly great breakfast. Lovely place, well-run, perfectly clean, and very friendly. The views from the rooms are extensive, yet it's a short walk to a very acceptable pub with good beer and meals. Definitely one to go back to.

The Hotel is a 15 century house which has been sympathetically restored retaining many of the original features. The bedrooms in the main house were charming, very clean with a very fresh en suite and lovely white bed linen and towels. There is an award winning restaurant which produced mouth-watering meals with a menu to suit most palates. What made the stay memorable were the very friendly, helpful and thoughtful staff. I would recommend this hotel to most people especially those with an...

For couples looking for a relaxed base with local flavour, staying in the town centre is a good choice. You're close to spots like the Aberdare Park, which offers pleasant walks and a boating lake, and the Cynon Valley Museum, providing insight into the area's history.
When is the best time to go to Aberdare?
The best time to visit Aberdare is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months.
During these periods, the weather is generally mild and pleasant, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding natural beauty of the Cynon Valley and the nearby Brecon Beacons National Park. You'll find the landscapes particularly striking with spring blossoms or autumn colours. This is a great time for couples who enjoy scenic walks and outdoor activities without the peak summer crowds.
Summer (June to August) is also a good time, offering warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, superb for families looking to make the most of outdoor adventures. However, it can be busier, especially during school holidays.
