Algarve Hotel Guide - 5 star CS Hotels in Algarve, Portugal

Right from the doorstep I was very impressed with the hotel staff! Everyone was trying to help with a smile on their face. Comfortable ambience. Clean. Plenty of food. Even the 'drinks' (at the bar) come under all inclusive!

We had a great stay here, the hotel is in an amazing location just behind the beach. Our room on the 3rd floor of the 3rd block had great views of the gardens, pools and the sea and the bay. The suite was huge, but oddly designed, the bedroom and especially the bathroom were small in context with the very large lounge area. The room was very minimalist in design and furnishings. It had a huge balcony but only a couple of chairs and a small table. The pool areas were great there were 6 large pools and 3 small ones spread across the back of the hotel which meant there was never a problem getting a bed anytime of the day, although some were broken which limited options. For me this is not a 5 star standard hotel, it does have all the required facilities but little things like paying €2 each for coffee pods in the room, not getting water in the room on a daily basis, not having table service at the pool side, not having table service at breakfast with the choice of coffees and additional breakfast options (omelette bar, porridge etc.) over and above the standard buffet fare is unusual in my experience. You do get free underground parking, towels which you can take to the pool and the beach which is unusual when it is not the hotels private beach. It is also close to some of the best beaches in the Algarve, Salgados beach is a 2 minute walk on the boardwalk and Gale is a 15 minute walk along the boardwalk and beach paths. There are numerous really good restaurant bars on them.
