"Superb place to stay if you’re going to Rock City. It’s literally next door. Great staff and a little shop of sorts selling snacks and juices to take to your room. A mean to cup coffee machine and pastry in the morning is a great touch. "

"The room was clean and tidy however the shower extractor wasn’t working also a none slip bath mat would be good and the heating could have been better and a small fridge would be good,,, the food in the restaurant was really good and friendly staff,,, all that said we would stay there again,, 4 out of 5 stars "

"Excellent stay, staff were all very friendly, pool is great and the kids had a great time, although it's probably more set up for working trips than a family break but we've stayed as a family twice now and enjoyed the break. The birthday platter for our son's birthday was a nice touch."

"Just stayed here one night as part of a short visit to the Peak District. The hotel is right in the centre of the beautiful town of Bakewell, so extremely convenient. It’s a beautiful old coaching inn with loads of interesting history. The whole experience was excellent. Lovely room with all the facilities you need and the team in the hotel were fantastic. "The hotel is moden and well laid out with everything you need for a stay. The rooms are large, clean and well looked after. But the biggest standout were the staff, everyone is so friendly and fo out of their way to help. Tip top service from all of them well done"

"The only real disappointment was our dinner. The food was tasty but it wasn’t as described on the menu-my seasonal veg was two spring onions, my tarragon jus was gravy and our children’s fish bites were just cheap fish fingers!! We were 2.5hours for two courses….it was very slow. The hotel room was clean and the nature trail outside was lovely. The outside grounds were perfect for a stroll before dinner. All the staff were welcoming. "
