"A characterful hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious and in the old part of the hotel, full of old beams and quirky corners. Bed was large and comfortable. Lighting was a bit lacking and because we faced onto the street it was not suitable to have the blinds and curtains open. The restaurant had a great aspect facing onto the river and grounds. "The Chapter House is a hidden gem of England’s history. The building is centuries old but has a comfortable quaintness. The staff was incredible and very friendly. Would highly recommend The Chapter House!"

"Really lovely break, room was clean and of a good standard, breakfast option excellent as was the staff. Only downside was the building works and workmen outside our window, a little unsightly and workmen very unexpected. Everything else perfect. Definitely worth a visit, in the centre of the city with everything on your doorstep."

We had steak and Seabass and both meals were cooked to a perfection. All the courses were delicious from starter to dessert.
