"Friendly folks to greet you and recommend George Hotel for dinner. Beautiful and sweet cat made my niece very happy and added to the feel of home. Breakfast was very good. Convenient location for visiting Inveraray and the Castle.."

Made to feel very welcome right from the start with friendly, helpful staff who were also very professional. Standard of accomodation was excellent. The hotel itself was warm and inviting with an open fire in the hall and the views from the dining room were quite superb. Beautiful grounds which would make the hotel a stunning venue for a wedding. The quality of food and presentation were both excellent. Can't fault anything.

The accommodation was well placed in Tarbert. The house was very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend stay here and I would book again in the future.

A great room in a fantastic location. Absolutely superb service by all the staff that we came across. We were, however, disappointed by the truncation of the menu - no beef/venison on the main menu - and we had been so looking forward to trying both. The staff told us that this was because the hotel was about to shut down for the winter. Such was the rest of our experience during this stay, we will be back next year, hopefully with beef and venison restored to the menu.

Staff were amazing, great facilities. Food lovely. Liked the fact they had jugs of fresh water located at the front entrance and within relaxation room unlike most hotels who would push a sale on bottled water. Relaxed atmosphere great rooms with arran aromatic after the rain toiletries.. Bliss 💕

I don't think it's possible to utter a meaningful criticism of the Cedars. I don't propose to try. Why waste words?
I hope to arrange a further short holiday later in the year.

We had a lovey mini break, the place was perfect for our hiking plans around the area.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, really nice Cosey bar with a big fire.

Nice hotel to stay in - Lovely sea view room and clean and modern - Building work going on at the moment which did not affect our stay but will look better when finished- One main thing they need to do is sort out the signage for the hotel - Letters missing and main sign at front in a very poor state of repair - First appearances count - nice friendly staff

The hotel and staff are very nice and helpful, the spa room is very good, especially the out door hot tub, it's an experience that I would recommend to everyone, the breakfast is very good

The west coast of Scotland is one of the country’s most visited holiday destinations as it brings together the natural beauty, historical sites, and outdoor activities that make Scotland renowned throughout the world. Just a short trip from the bustling city of Glasgow, the region of Argyll and Bute is replete with attractions visitors will enjoy, and there are few places that provide a more serene and relaxing environment than the Kintyre Peninsula.
Visitors to this idyllic finger of land stretching-out between the Isle of Arran and Jura, will enter through the town of Lochgilphead, whose Iron Age hillfort, Dunadd, was once the capital of the Dal Riata kingdom. The surrounding area is also home to a number of spectacular natural wonders from the waters of Loch Sween to the peat flats of Moine Mhor Nature Reserve.
Book Your Stay at a Lochgilphead 4 Star Hotel
The small town of Lochgilphead on the banks of Loch Gilp is the perfect place to stay during your regional exploration of the Kintyre Peninsula, and the local hotels provide easy access to southern attractions like Campbeltown and Carradale. For a more luxurious stay, where you can take advantage of top-class amenities, consider booking a four star hotel with the help of the Expedia search tool, and really treat yourself on this holiday.
The many sites and activities to enjoy in the Kintyre Peninsula and Argyll and Bute region, might mean your next trip is the first of many more to come.
