"This is a tired hotel that is trying to do its best. Lovely location on the loch and gives easy access to places of interest. Reception is not covered from late afternoon and in the morning, there is a phone number to use in case of emergency. Food ok. If you have
pets
with you be prepared to be a 3rd rate guest. Table not laid out for you, the only tables to use are at the entrance to the guest lounge or next to the swing doors to the kitchen. So not a relaxing time. We were there for 2...

On a private hill farm estate. Set in stunning scenery close to the coast.

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (8)
"We stayed at Finchairn Cottage with a large family group over Christmas and it could not have been better. The house is very well equipped for a large group, the kitchen has everything, including 3 ovens, perfect to manage a Christmas celebration meal. The walks all around on the estate are stunning. Our weather was mixed but really wonderful on the last day! The house is very well insulated and has great heating and cozy wood burning stoves in the living room and the room. "

"A very pleasant holiday house. There's a spacious conservatory, patio and garden at the back with lovely views over the loch. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a dishwasher. (No washing machine or tumble dryer.) There's no traffic noise. We will probably stay there again."

"My daughter and I absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Lochead Chalet. It's in a wonderful spot right on the loch side, and oh my it is so very peaceful! The chalet itself was a perfect size for we two adults and our little
dogs
and we found it very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Karlina in the Ellary estate office was lovely too. A beautiful location for a holiday and a charming place to stay - highly recommended. "

Teasel Lodge - UK39647

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (1)
"Die Bilder im Inserat versprechen nicht zu viel - die Aussicht vom Wohnzimmer und der Terrasse ist grandios. Ein wenig getrübt wurde der Aufenthalt dadurch, dass ständig gelüftet werden muss, weil das Holzhaus sonst etwas muffig riecht. Dass bei dem üppigen Mietpreis der Strom noch extra dazukommt, ist etwas übertrieben."
