"What a great find, a wonderful accommodation, in the outskirts of Lockerbie, town centre about 5 minutes by car, wouldn’t recommend walking, fast cars. A lovely place for a restful stay.."

"A perfect place to stay. Location is right by the side of the solway firth with great views and an array of local birds. The accommodation is of a very high standard and has everything you want. A separate bedroom, bathroom and living room. There is a great range of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and they even supply fresh milk daily. When you stay here you are the only guests which gives you the exclusivity and personal touch. Talking of the personal touch, as it was Easter some chocolate...

"If there's a b & b anywhere where the hosts are more attentlve, i've yet to visit it. A real gem of a place, spotlessly clean, great breakfast and a 5 minute walk to the town centre make this a great place to come. We have been twice now and there is sure to be a third when we revisit Dumfries."

"Derek & Rena are excellent hosts with a lovely clean and comfortable b& b, with off street parking. Breakfast was delicious & plentiful and they catered to one of our party’s dietary needs perfectly & generously . "

"The restaurant is very high quality food for dinner. Breakfast was a bit odd in that we were just given the choice of a hot dish, whereas I prefer some fruit , nice breads and pastries etc. Room was fine for 1 night but rather small with extra to no hanging space"

"Southpark House is a well run guest house in a fabulous location. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The guest house is well maintained and extremely clean. Breakfast is out of this world, freshly cooked and a fantastic selection to choose from. The bedroom was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable and the en-suite was pristine. An absolute joy to stay there. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Dumfries and the surrounding areas."
