The receptionist ensured me that I could get the same selection of food at the bar since the restaurant was closing. Two selections were shot down immediately. I was told only burgers and sandwiches were avaliable. I just expected a better menu."

"Lovely stay room in main hotel really comfortable. Room was very clean, and bathroom delightful with a bath. Bed very comfortable. Nice products in the bathroom, fan, iron and hair dryer in the room. Very pleasant stay. Staff are lovely and nice easy check in and out. Would highly recommend to eat there too, was really delicious in the evening Have not sampled breakfast due to early morning but would if staying longer. Parking is very close behind hotel easy to walk to. "

"If you can see beyond the dated decor, you will find this is a wonderful family run hotel. Rooms are clean, comfy and well stocked. Towels are soft and large. On the whole, food is delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast could be hotter. Cheese and cold meats always looked dried out and curling at the edges. Great facilities (spa, pool, gym, tennis court, pool table, grounds) and super friendly and efficient staff. Big downfall was dated TVs with no Netflix or movie channels, and casting...

" Beautiful building. Close to town . We booked a ‘cosy boutique’ room, so expected small. The bedroom was as expected, but the bathroom area was ridiculously small. Luckily we are reasonably slim, but still could barely sit on the toilet without being very uncomfortable. The shower once you were in it was fine but again getting in it was a challenge. Toilet seat was broken ( probably from people trying to squeeze themselves into it). Not worth £165. Walls paper thin so very noisy. Another greedy...
