"Great hotel, excellent food but has its downsides"
We stayed here from 4th to 18th October and got a good half board deal with Expedia. The rooms are modern and stylish and very comfortable in general. There are lots of room options - we chose superior room with sea view. However the first room offered was directly above the outside entertainment and no sleep was possible as it was so noisey til 11pm. Having been up at 1am to catch the flight from Manchester we were none too happy! Next morning we asked to change, and the lovely lady on reception immediately offered us Room 435 which had a lovely sea view. Noise from the entertainment was still a problem but I think it is for ALL the pool/sea view rooms. The hotel management really need to address this as I am sure it does not have to be so loud. Speaking to other guests suggests that rooms facing the street suffer from buses and taxis picking up and dropping of guests through the night so there's your choice - loud music til 11pm or traffic noise through the night! Ear plugs essential! Noise from other guests was not a problem for us but some of our party suffered from noise made by the young Austrian swimming team using the hotel for training.
Having got the bad points out of the way, now the good ones. The staff are really friendly and the service excellent. Food was also excellent but with a slight German slant. There are 2 washing machines and a dryer - essential for our cycling kit. There is a fridge in the room so I asked for a kettle and we made our own hot drinks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is ten minutes walk from the shops and beach and there is a bus stop over the road with a regular service to many popular locations.
There is an excellent choice of freshly prepared food at breakfast and evening meals which can be eaten indoors or out on the terrace. Rooms are in a quiet, peaceful location and are kept beautifully cool by the adjustable air conditioning.
the beds were the comfiest I have experienced when holidaying. rooms very clean but could do with refurbishing as does the dining room, stairs and corridors. the rest of the hotel looks like it has been updated. relaxing atmosphere. the staff are very efficient and approachable. food could have been better i.e. the quality/variety of hot meat. lovely pool and surrounding grounds - plenty of green grass and enough trees for shade. quiet at night as it is away from any bars.

A nice, friendly hotel with great staff. Decent sized pool that never got overcrowded. Good location. Would be happy to stay there again. There weren't many children staying at the hotel which was a plus point for us.

Good hotel and staff. Beds too hard for my better half but just right for me. Needed extra pillows and it was no problem once asked. Restaurant very busy but efficient. Choices a little limited and no coffee available at evening meal.
