"We had a wonderful stay at Appleby Castle. We were made so welcome by hosts Sally and Peter. The room was adequate for a castle. Dinner was superb, a of mix of prawn and salmon starter followed by main course of garlic chicken. The setting was the in the beautiful dining room. We were the only ones dining, and had the chef cooking solely for ourselves !! Peter played the piano as we dined. Sally could not have been nicer as we chatted. "Lovely quirky room in a lovely pub in a quiet location food was lovely clean room I did think the check in service could be a little more professional has we were given wrong keys to our room. The only downside was the WiFi in the room it didn’t work and you don’t get a phone signal, taxis are must if you plan to explore walking isn’t an option due to location. "
