We had a lovely stay at The Great Decoy. The weather was horrible unfortunately, but the pub was very cosy and welcoming with lovely open fires. Lovely food, great decor, lovely attention to detail including the gorgeous smelling toiletries provided. The bed was very comfy with lovely bedding. We will definitely return and also try out other pubs in the Chickpea Group.

Staff were lovely. Had a long drive and arrived on the cutoff for ordering dinner, but thankfully the staff were kind enough to still let us order. We had both dinner and breakfast, both were absolutely delicious. There was some games we could borrow which we enjoyed playing in the bar, only small disadvantage is the bar closed at 10:30. Room was very clean, stocked with tea and coffee and the extra pillows in the wardrobe was a nice addition. Overall, we had a very peaceful, relaxing stay.

Lovely welcome to this lovely renovated village pub and hotel. Lovely public rooms and our bedroom was cosy, warm and good to be in. Excellent bathroom. Dinner was fine, breakfast was excellent,

Good size rooms with a balcony . Comfy beds . Tea and making coffee facilities. Some rooms allow dogs if you book ahead. Excellent choice for breakfast.

Always a pleasurable stay. Being in the centre of Andover means there's plenty of places around to eat and drink. Rooms are good quality in general. It's an old building so do expect creaking floorboards and the odd small doorway, but decor is good, tidy and welcoming. Apples, bottled water, biscuits and tea and coffee making facilities all add up to make the stay pleasurable

A very comfortable last minute stay in this lovely pub. The rooms are very cosy and comfortable, the service outstanding and the food just delicious. The only thing I'd change is the plug and bright green fire escape lighting that illuminates the room too much for a good night's sleep. Overall a very lovely stay.

This is a good base for touring the area. Highclere Castle is a minutes drive away, but closed in winter. You can walk a public footpath in the grounds to Kingsclere. The food is excellent and good value, served by helpful friendly staff. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable.

very nice place

Very welcomed , and excellent service at dinner , rooms outstanding and would definitely return

Property was nicely decorated and, whilst there is no reception, the instructions to gain access were easy and worked well. The continental breakfast in the room was lovely and well thought through although there was a lack of English Breakfast tea bags which I assume was just because they hadn’t been topped up. There is no parking at the accommodation but lots of parking in the town centre - it’s only a few minutes walk and I would recommend parking first and then walking to the property as...

I couldn't make one single negative comment about this place, it was fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the hosts were warm and welcoming, the breakfasts were first rate and the pool was a great bonus. The views in every direction were stunning.

Excellent hotel. The room was large with an incredibly comfy bed and good powerful shower. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast really good. We ate in the restaurant both nights. A special thank you to Ben our waiter. We would highly recommend Bel and the Dragon.

Great staff and location. Room looked over the high street and was perfect for what I needed. Parking is a major bonus.

Excellent budget hotel. Exceptionally quiet.

What do you expect of an hotel in a services stop? It’s cheap and cheerful which is just what I wanted

Super comfy bed. Lovely breakfast and very attentive hosts. Highly recommend
