"Quiet, spaceous room which was very clean. The pub served delicious food and there is a fabulous little cafe next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back when visiting family again. Exceptional value for money with a good breakfast included. Only slight niggle is that the pillows were thin and not supportive. One is not enough and two is too much. Perhaps they could invest in firmer support pillows and the score for this hidden gem would be 10/10."

"Driven past this hotel countless times & always thought that it looked like a lovely, well presented building. Thankfully thanks to Hotels.com I eventually stayed there last night & it didn’t disappoint. Everything was pretty much what I expected , couldn’t really fault it, except maybe for the £8.00 daily parking charge, I personally don’t think that residents should be charged this."

"This was perfect for me visiting family in Ashburton. It was easy to find and park. The staff were lovely and helpful when I checked in. It helped take the stress out of the logistics. They were also very accommodating when I had to change the dates initially. "

"I've stayed there twice now on each visit to Plymouth. The rooms have been refreshed, clean and the area is generally fairly quiet. The location means you can walk to the Hoe, Barbican readily, and the Drake Circus is 5 minutes away. If I return to Plymouth, I'd readily come back!! And the staff are great :) "

"Lovely peaceful place. In beautiful surroundings. Very attentive helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Modern shower-room. Good wifi. Views of sheep and hills. Very close to Buckfast Abbey conference centre. They also have a courtesy minivan to collect from stations or give lifts if anyone wants a trip away without a car (but I didn't use that as I had my bike - which was accomodated nicely). Faultless.
