"Helpful friendly staff, great cooked breakfast, room was clean & comfortable. It ticked all the boxes. However the hotel is situated by a busy main road and you can hear the noise of the traffic at night ! Ear plugs needed !"

"Myself and my daughter had a lovely stay at the Moorland hotel. The grounds and setting were marvelous. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Only things that weren't quite right were. Bulb out in bathroom ceiling. Bulb out in mirror in bathroom and door handle in bathroom trapped me inside as it didn't work properly. If my daughter hadn't been with me I don't know how I could have summoned help. On leaving I mentioned these things to reception and hopefully they have been rectified. Apart from that it was lovely and will definitely return."

"Old world charm with staff that are as polite and efficient that you will find anywhere. A faithful re creation of an English country retreat. Wonderful estate. Beautifully appointed rooms. Bring a book and come prepared to disconnect from the world and relax. Croquet and badminton on the lawn. Long walks on the estate. Salmon and trout fishing."
