Recently travelled to Boston to see the Lion King, but chose to stay outside of City b/c of price. The staff at this Marriott are some of the best I have every encountered. From the intial shuttle from the station to the hotel, to a late check out and shuttle back to the bus station for us to catch our flight. They assisted with trolley tour sales, information about Boston and Salem, food recommendations, shuttle services within the local area, extra towels, etc. The breakfast offered something just a little different every morning (4 mornings) and the staff overseeing food preparation and distribution were friendly and extremely accommodating. I heard many folks in the dining area commenting on the exceptional service! When you meet housekeeping in the halls, they smile and greet you, when you enter and leave you are greeted with a smile...I could go on and on...but I think you get the picture.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. The room given to us was a handicap room on the first floor which was just around the corner from the bar/lounge area. It was not very ideal for have children 7 and 4 with us. The crowd at the bar was very loud for a long period of time. Noise level would have been fine if I did not have the kids with me but it did not help us get them to sleep so we had a bit of a hard day the next day. We had expected the sofa bed to be larger. It was barely big enough for a 7 year old to sleep on.

Just stayed one night after exploring Salem on Halloween weekend. Check-in was easy, the staff at the front desk was friendly, the room was beautiful, and our kids had a great time at the pool. The only slight problem we had was that the restaurant - even on a Saturday evening - was not prepared to handle our party of 12. We waited and waited, and the expensive food was only mediocre when it arrived. Eat elsewhere if you have more than a couple of people. Otherwise, great experience for a reasonable room rate.
