However the house although wasn't filthy it wasn't clean. The whole place looked like a family had just "popped out". Clothes hanging on doors, shoes left where they had just taken them off, generally a untidy house."

"Wow! Appletree Barn is absolutely stunning. It is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our short break. Lovely touches like the beautifully decorated Christmas tree and the tea/coffee and biscuits made our stay really special. The property is finished to a really high standard and we could walk onto rural footpaths from the door. The games room is helpful and reasonably well appointed although showing signs of being "well used" Whilst providing reasonable value for money, typically the kitchen could do with updating and providing a more comprehensive range of cooking utensils. Providing one (average quality) bath towel and one hand towel (plus bed linen) at (an additional) £10 each person seems somewhat odd given how many...

"Extremely comfortable home with a great sense of history. I booked for four days to take my four adult children and my teenage grandson away to celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed some lovely walks and explored the castle and church. In the evenings we played board games in the cosy sitting room and the formal dining room made mealtimes special. We now have some very happy memories of our stay in Ludlow."

"Fantastic facilities and plenty of space for a multi-generational holiday. Also plenty of parking for four cars. The pool is more of a plunge pool but we expected that and the setting in the orchard was really nice. The hosts were very welcoming, and for us the clincher was the electric car charger which was so convenient. We may book again next year!"
