We stayed for 3 days with 2 children (aged 10 & 6) and the hotel was perfect for our needs. The room was spacious and very clean (even under the bed when we lost a toy!), and the breakfast was plentiful with a great variety of food. We used the metro every day which was a 10 minute walk for small legs and a few stops from the central station (Termini) costing 7 Euros each for 24 hours. The only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is very close to a hospital & ambulance station so if your room overlooks the road expect some noise!
Overall this hotel was good, We prepaid for the hotel and flights online but unfortunately was not told that the city tax was not included and surprisingly ended up costing us 40 euros on top of our prepaid total on the last day of the visit, thankfully we had money left as the staff did not inform us on the check in. The staff speak english but not fluent as expected. The air conditioning was a life saver due to the high heat waves outside and boiling temperatures on the metro. The area is quiet and five minutes away from the metro which is incredibly easy to use. The room was perfect for two people and very clean and tidy. There wasn't any spectacular views out of the window but didn't bother us as we only wanted an easy place to sleep at night. There are some lovely and inexpensive eating places around Bologna but be careful of the service charges added to your bill at the end. I would recommend asking before sitting down. Overall it was a good place to stay and I would stay here again
Nice clean Hotel with friendly, helpful staff with good English.
Hotel is well located for travelling around Rome with a metro station just 5 mins walk away.
Breakfast is served on a the top floor with good views of the surrounding area.
Garden area located at the back of the hotel for a glass of wine or beer after a long day of touring the city sites.
Hotel was clean and staff very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with a map direction and booking a tour to the Vatican. Conveniently located close to bus stop and within walking distance to the train station. Located in a quiet neighborhood with restaurants and fruit stalls, ice-cream shops etc.
The only thing is that the hotel is not within walking distance to the historic sights, but easy to get to by train or bus.
Would stay there again.
We were checked in as soon as we arrived, the man was very helpful and kind, gave us directions to nearby reataurants and bars, a map of central Rome and explained what transport I can use to get into central. Room was nice and clean, with a TV and a shared balcony, lovely bathroom. Only complaint will be that one evening when we got back at the hotel the door to our room was wide open, considering we left it locked, there was nothing missing, but not a pleasent surprise anyway.
Not the best location - reasonably close to centre but cut off by rail tracks and nothing much (e.g. bars, restaurants) in immediate vicinity. Direct tram to main rail station.
Room adequate (en-suite bath even though description said shared). Good a/c.
Breakfast buffet low-end but edible, staff friendly, no problems.
The Rome Tiburtina railway station, one of the most important stations in the city, is located in the Tiburtina Est neighborhood. The area is also an excellent starting point for a visit to the famous San Lorenzo district, known for its nightlife, and for daytrips to the medieval town of Tivoli and its ancient villas such as Villa d'Este and Villa Gregoriana.
