"This was a last minute booking literally made in the morning. Hotel is beautiful. Staff so helpful and friendly. Food was 1st class. I'm not usually one for leaving reviews but thought that this hotel deserved one!"

"I recommend the Black Horse. Very quiet and restful. The main building (pub & restaurant) is quite old and interesting with multiple levels and interior structures. The Garden Area was a delightful area for a pint and dinner, service was friendly as was the check-in. The grounds are sloped creating an inviting green impression. The beds are comfortable, the room size is adequate as is the bathroom. It has the typical bath/shower combo with a (typical) high sided tub. As we get older, we find using that type of shower more difficult and will start avoiding them when possible. I want to stress that my comment is not meant to be negative about the Black Horse but rather those type of tubs. When the time comes to renovate, I hope they change to a walk-in shower. "
