Located in central Sliema, The Palace is well positioned if you wish to explore the whole of Malta.
There are a few small shops and a supermarket close by and the sea front(s) approx. 5 mins walk either way. To one side, the promenade with roman baths. The other side of Sliema is where the main shopping area is, with a dozen or so decent restaurants and bars. Valletta is a short ferry trip away and all tours / boat trips etc. of Malta seem to start from Sliema.
We ate in The Palaces asian restaurant a few times and were very pleased with the quality and variety.
It has a well equipped gym and the pool areas seemed clean and well maintained.
A very good experience. The hotel is about 5 minutes up the hill, but in a very good location.
Karl and Eleanor were particularly helpful.
Shame wifi isn't free considering the price you pay for your stay. Besides that, hotel is lovely Tempt Asian restaurant on 9th floor is a nice place to eat.

Loved the location of the hotel, close to the Sliema waterfront for ferries to Valletta and Comino/Gozo - very useful. It was also nice to be able to walk along the waterfront past all the great restaurants on our way to The Point shopping centre (20mins walk)
Pierre the Hotel Manager & Andre were excellent staff very helpful & Curteous...room cleaning was done daily.. A/c was a delight on the hot days..Breakfast was varied and served on the Rooftop Terrace with an awesome Harbourside view
Definitely will stay again
First off I'll start off with the only bad experience we had of the entire stay. We arrived about 10pm for a 4 night stay hoping to dump our bags and head out for a well deserved drink but after being emailed stating our room was reserved for late check in we was told we would actually be staying at a different hotel down the road, not ideal! Next morning we left that hotel (the fortina, great view of Valetta but small chinsey rooms) extra early to get settled in to the Rocca to be told our room still wasn't ready, after killing time for a few hours we eventually had to wait till after 2pm to get in. We did get a few drinks and free breakfasts as compensation but we felt we had waisted valuable exploring time saying we was only in Malta for 3 full days.
Now the positives, pretty much everything else! Perfect hotel for my tastes, Huge clean suites, nice friendly staff, small rooftop pool but did the job, pool barman is great to chat with whilst boozing the afternoon away. Breakfast was just OK nothing fantastic, the evening restaurant was a basic menu but done well and worth the money. Great position and base for exploring Maltas charms only slightly tarnished by that first night hic up but I'll forget about that because it was such a great place. Go and book it!
Arrived early morning due to plane delays and car hire issues. Brilliant service from start to finish. Reception even greeted me by name. Swimming facilities absolutely awesome. Suite comfortable and Palazzo a stunning building well preserved by hotel chain.
Great location, helpful staff and good facilities in room.
Room was pretty but had most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in!
Beach club was good value.
Definitely recommend and would return there.
Close to all amenities and in a very quiet area.

The staff were all brilliant, very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The room was basic but the location is fantastic, right on the seafront with bus stops just outside taking you all over the island.
On the northern edge of Malta, Sliema forms part of Malta's coastal resort area and is a center for shopping and restaurants. Sliema's Tower Road is a section of a kilometers-long promenade from Gzira to St. Julian's, ideal for walkers and joggers. In addition to its businesses and cafes, the promenade offers plenty of seating, and in the summer becomes a meeting place for locals at the seafront.
