"Overall good stay, only real issue being unable to take the paid for breakfast, would be a good idea to ensure breakfast times are stipulated pre booking as have been changed to a later (8am) start. "The new owners have only been there since March 2024 so any previous reviews are for others and not relevant. Customer service was second to none and couldn't have been better. Very accommodating to dietary requirements. Lovely breakfast and evening meal. Lovely atmosphere. Decor is a little tired in places but easily remedied. Shower pressure in my room was very low but others in our group were happy with theirs."

"An extremely warm welcome set the tone for my visit, yea and cake to start off with. First class service delivered by the marvellous hosts. A very well appointed room and en-suite bathroom. "Lovely b&b. Fantastic 3 course meal. Highly recommended. Kate is a super host. But the two dogs beg at the breakfast/dinner table. They need to be kept in a separate room while guests are eating. Breakfast was disappointing. Cooked breakfast consisted of 2 streaky bacon,burnt sausage and a fried egg with yolk overcooked. Make sure you ask how you want your eggs cooked. First morning we asked for scrambled egg which were perfect! Also the bedroom door needs a proper key lock on it. Everything...

"Very slow check in, card machine not working so had to write my card details down on a piece of paper (not sure this is compliant with GDPR). No iron available. Paid £15 for breakfast thinking it was a cooked breakfast but was only continental consisting of a box of cereal, a piece of ham, 2 pieces of cheese, rock hard crusty roll and a jar of strawberries. Drove 5 minutes down the road and got 2 full English breakfasts for £16. There was no shower gel and only half a toilet roll left for us....
