Cannot get better than this..Lovely staff, decent breakfast-attached to building is a Familay Mart..shops around....across is a super market. 20mts walk to exhibition center..Hotel provides free drop in the morning..
I used the Hotel car twice on this visit and it was all very well organised. I was travelling alone and they collected me from the train station and were there waiting for me with an umbrella as it was raining very hard . I felt very safe. After a very tiring business trip in China I finished at the Shangri la and they made me feel very welcome on arrival and even checked me in in my room rather than at the front desk. It was faultless. I always stay at the Shangri la when possible when staying in China.
This was my first trip to China. The hotel exceeded all my expectations at the price I paid. I was treated as a VIP and I am not. The room staff are outstanding and the concierge was very helpful. I will make the Purple Mountain hotel my first choice the next time I visit.
Have used many times for business visits. Very convenient for LuJiaZui in Pudong. Also next to metro stop to go elsewhere. Good rooms and facilities. Polite staff sometimes with limited English. Food OK, not spectacular, decent variety but too expensive for what it is.
