Our stay started with very few people at the hotel and we loved it! The wait staff were very interactive and attentive. The facilities are good, however, need some repairs. The food was very nice. Mid week the hotel filled up and things got crazy. There were a lot of young families and also young adults who were there unchaparoned. The young people were very disruptive, drinking through the night and very loud. It didn't appear to be a concern to the staff. Many of the young people were falling down drunk and vomiting and I didn't see any of the staff intervene. In all I would stay here again, but maybe not during the down season when school is letting out.
We loved this hotel so much the first time we stayed here a few years ago that we came back and brought friends with us. The amenities and restaurants are great but the staff and service is exceptional- they don't miss a beat!
"Immaculately looked after hotel with fabulous staf"
This is a beautiful place to stay the grounds are immaculate! Vistas of the Sierra Madres and the beach. it has quiet pools and noisy family fun pools. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is amazing our maid Amelia was awesome and Diego in Concierge services was incredible he made our trip memorable. Also we love that theres shopping mall down the street where you can buy anything you need and local buses just outside on the street.
Resort is between Airport and Downtown which was convenient. Only about a 10 minute walk to the Cruise ship port where you need to be for most of the "adventures." Downtown was a bit further walk or a short cab or bus ride. Being a little away from downtown helped keep the overall noise level down which was relaxing. "Timeshare" (actually a vacation club) presentation was the most painless I have ever gone through. Only 90 minutes and completely worth it if you are interested in doing any of the "adventures/activities" around Puerto Vallarta (you're going to need to save money on these to afford the outrageous prices they charge for pictures of the excursions). Food was great. Staff was great except some of the guys in the buffet did not seem to like their job very much. The only tip I would give you is purchase some water from the OXXO or Soriana so you don't need to rely on the very small bottles available around the resort.
This was truly a beautiful resort. Nicely located, it's spread on 2 blocks and leads to the beach. There's a nice restaurant right next to the beach, with a varied menu and a buffet. The food was good. Overall service at the resort is top-notch- if you need anything, just ask! They went over and above my expectations. The room was nice and clean.
We just finished 7 days at the resort and it was perfect for our two kids, 2 year old boy and 11 year old girl. The kids pool has water slides that kept my 2 year old wanting more and more. The buffet was what you would expect from a buffet but the three restaurants used for dinner was excellent and a lot of fun for everyone. Each night, there is a show for the family with singing and dancing, which kept everyone entertained. It is a little older resort but is certainly well maintained and clean. I would recommend this for anyone with children.
Pocket Guide: Puerto Vallarta North Hotel Zone Hotels
Large resorts dominate the Hotel Zone, arguably the center of Puerto Vallarta tourism. This area includes the Maritime Terminal, where cruise ships dock. Across the street, visitors can see authentic bullfights at La Paloma Bullring. Like its southern half, the North Hotel Zone’s main attraction is the crescent-shaped bay. Water sports are in abundance, as are restaurants, bars, and shops.
